Yacov Rabkin’s book demonstrates that Zionism is not the sequel of Judaism. That Israel is a “Jewish and democratic state” seems pseudo-religious dogma, designed only by believers. Although presenting provoking views, the book is convincingly and boldly argued. Though 'On Palestine' is meant to be a sequel to 'Gaza in Crisis', it fares perfectly as a standalone piece on the conflict. I gleaned a lot of insights reading this book -- I'm definitely going to read up on the conflict in my free time to learn beyond what I've learnt in school!/5.
